Day 85

MY CHILD,   

Only one thing can keep you or anybody from My rest. That one thing has two sides, cause and effect. Unbelief is the cause. Disobedience is the effect. Because you do not, or will not believe Me, you disobey Me.

Genuine belief in Me is believing, accepting, and acting on what I say, because I give the truth. There is one condition to My rest, obedience to My voice today.

Come unto Me and I will give you rest. You are full of care, troubled about many things that have to do with Me and My work. This is the reason for your unrest. Remember, it's "My work." You are only to do the work I give you to do. A big part of that work is to sit at My feet, listen, and fellowship with Me. This is why I created and saved you. This is not to invite or promote laziness.

Out of sitting, will come the work you need to do in cooperation with Me. Here is where real lasting work is done. You do what I tell you to do, and I do what only I can do. Together we do the work for My honor and glory.

My rest is not inactivity, or sleep, but the harmonious working of all things as I planned. My rest is yours as you wear My yoke. A yoke means working together, but a yoke "with Me" means I am able to pull the load, and you pull the load I am pulling. Thus in continual fellowship because of the yoke, we work together, walk together, and win together.

My Promises

Phillipians 4:6 - "Never worry about anything. But in every situation let me know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks."

Vs. 7 - Then my peace, which goes beyond anything you can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus my Son."

Psalm 119:76 - "Let my mercy comfort you as I have promised."

Matthew 11:28 - "Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest."
