A Word from your Father in Heaven 
Day 78

MY CHILD,   

Consider Jesus. He was faithful as an apostle. His mission was to leave Heaven, to come to earth as a man. He laid aside His glory and took upon Himself the form of a servant.

As My apostle, his message was very disturbing to many people, but He was faithful to bring and give that message.

As a servant, He did not have the right to decide what Message He was going to give, but only to declare it. So, He spoke only of what I, the Father who sent Him, said. He did only what I, who sent Him ordered. Often his actions offended people as much as his words. In spite of this, He was a faithful apostle and servant.

He was faithful to Me under the most adverse circumstances. I gave Him the strength and He was uncompromisingly faithful in every little and big thing.

He was faithful in the ignobling, humbling death of the cross, the shame, all that came from a human viewpoint. This was a choice He made, not something He was forced to do.

Then through the pain -- the agony of death, of being separated from Me, He bore your sins, and the sins of mankind. I have honored his faithfulness. I raised Him from the dead and appointed Him to be the High Priest, to represent you before Me.

He will continue to be faithful to Me in this appointed position and faithful to you, the one I have appointed Him to represent. He will be faithful in regard to all your confessions.

You can count on Jesus, your High Priest. He will not fail you.
