A Word from your Father in Heaven
Day 76

MY CHILD,

Jesus suffered the difficulties of growing up. He purposely went through all the pressures of life you experience. The pressure of finding the Father’s will, and then choosing to obey rather than disobey. His life was a day-by-day, situation-by-situation choice just as you have.

He fully understands the pressure, tribulations, and trials you have. He is an understanding, a merciful, a sympathetic Savior. Let Him see you through your difficulties even as I, the Father, saw Him through His time on earth.

His greatest pressures were the expectations of the religious system of his day. This was also true to some degree, with His disciples. It was hard for them to understand the content of his words; because they tried to understand Him in the light of the expectations drilled into them by their religious culture.

They kept expecting Him to be a KING in their terms, not ours. They saw his kingship as a means of getting rid of the Roman occupation, but not king in terms of their own lives and actions. They were disappointed in Him.

What can you expect? He will not disappoint you if you expect Him to be with you always. You can expect Him to fulfill his word to you, but on His terms, and His way. You can expect Him to walk with you through all the experiences of life, and sustain you in them.

What can you not expect from Him? That He will deliver you from the dark valleys, the difficult situations, and the dark night of the soul. That He will deliver you from rejections, persecutions, and misunderstandings. No, He will not, because He has not promised He would. But He will see you through victoriously and triumphantly by his power and glory, if you will trust Him, and demonstrate your trust by obedience and praise.

He learned obedience through the things He suffered. You will learn obedience through the things you suffer.

I love you,
Your Father who awaits you

My Promises

Roman's 12:2 - "Don't become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what I really want; what is good, perfect and pleasing."

Psalm 23:4 - "Even though you walk through the valley of death, because I am with you, you have no need to fear. My rod and my staff give you courage."

Joshua 1:9 - "Be strong and courageous! Don't tremble or be terrified, because I am with you wherever you go."
