A Word from your Father in Heaven 
Day 42

MY CHILD,   

When hardship comes along, you get discouraged and want to quit. You do not understand all that is at stake. On the one hand, I offer rewards to those who believe and obey Me, and on the other hand, there is the consequence of giving in to sin.

The battle of faith is a battle against sin, whether it has to do with living by My life, or doing My work. When I say the battle is against sin, it does not mean your concentration must be on sin. Anytime you look away from Me, and engage in battle against sin, you will lose. So the secret is to realize while your battle is against sin, the secret of battle and winning is not fighting sin; but looking to Me, and I will fight sin for you. For sin will not touch the person who looks to Me, even though it might scare them. Jesus died rather than give in to sin. He believed Me, trusted Me, and obeyed Me, even though He died. He knew all along I would not fail Him, but I would come through with Him and for Him in victory.
