A Word from your Father in Heaven 
Day 35

MY CHILD,   

I led the children of Israel to Jericho to teach them to trust Me, and know My power. I have designed and planned life so that over and over again, you are faced with impossible situations. This causes you to stay close and learn to trust Me.

Trusting Me means cooperating with Me. At the Red Sea, the people did not have to do anything, but wait on Me. Sometimes that is all I want. But at Jericho, I asked them to cooperate with Me, by walking around the city. In both situations, they were trusting Me. Trusting Me means you cooperate, and do what I ask. Then trust Me to do the rest.

Because I performed one way, one time, does not mean I will do it that way again. This will cause you to stay in contact with Me all the time. If you walk with Me, I will lead you to impossible situations, then I take care of them. As you listen to Me, and trust Me, we walk through them together -- victoriously.

At the Red Sea, I did not expect too much of them. I did everything for them, but at Jericho, I demanded their cooperation. At the Red Sea, they were babies in following Me, but by the time they reach Jericho I expected them to mature, and accept part of the responsibility.

In the beginning, like a good Father, I do most of the work. But as you mature, I demand your cooperation for your good. In the wilderness, I gave manna, but in the promised land they grew corn.

As you mature, I demand your cooperation so that you can become a partner with Me, in My kingdom. This is a sign of My fatherly love to you.

Proverbs 16:6 "Commit to me whatever you do and your plans will succeed."

Psalm 91:14-16 "Because you love me, I will rescue you; I will protect you for you acknowledge my name. You will call upon me and I will answer you. I will be with you in trouble, I will deliver you and honor you. With long life I will satisfy you and show you my salvation."

Hebrews 11:6 " But without Faith it is impossible to please me, because anyone who comes to me must believe that I exist and that I reward those who earnestly seek me."
