A Word from your Father in Heaven 
Day 29

MY CHILD,   

Joseph's faith is the type of faith that is rewarded because it pleases Me; the quality of faith that is as a grain of mustard seed. Joseph in Egypt, seeing death approaching, expressed his faith in Me in two definite ways, through action and a command. He told them not to leave his bones in Egypt, but to take his bones back with them. He expected the Exodus.

Why? From boyhood on, He was taught My promises made to his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Over and over again, He heard My original promise to Abraham. He also got to know Me personally. He tried Me, tested Me and found My word true.

Do you want this kind of faith? It comes not just through knowing what I have promised, but by knowing Me -- the promiser.

The certain fulfillment of any promise lies in the character, and ability of the promiser. Know Me, and you will find it easy to believe My promises, and act appropriately on them, even as Joseph did.

My Promises

I John 1: 8 - "If you say, “I am not sinful” you are deceiving yourself, and the truth is not in you."

Vs. 9 - "I am faithful and reliable. If you confess your sins, I will forgive you and cleanse you from everything you've done wrong."

Vs. 10 - "If you say, “I have never sinned,” you turn me into a liar and my Word is not in you."
