A Word from your Father in Heaven 
Day 28

MY CHILD,   

Do you understand the significance of this act of worship and why I had this recorded in Holy Scripture? The fact that Jacob worshiped Me on his death bed, because He believed that even in the most unlikely and adverse circumstances, I would keep My promise.

He was in Egypt, far from the land I had promised to Abraham, Isaac, and to Him and his descendents. But he believed Me, knew Me, and knew I would keep My promise. When he realized he was dying, he asked his son, Joseph, to bury him in the land of promise for he knew, in My timing, his whole family would be there. His request was based on faith in what I had said. His worship was based on his knowledge of, love for, and commitment to Me.

Genuine faith believes Me in the most adverse circumstances, and is not weakened by one's eminent departure from this world. Genuine faith acts appropriately, and consistently with My promises, and genuine faith worships Me. Do not let your faith be conditioned by what you see, perceive, understand, or by your present experience. Believe in Me, a covenant keeping God.

My Promises

Galations 4:7 - "So you are no longer a slave but my child. Since you are my child, I have also made you an heir."

Vs. 8 - "When you didn't know me, you were a slave to things which are really not gods at all."

Vs. 9 - "But now you know me, or rather, I know you. So how can you turn back again to the powerless and bankrupt principles of this world? Why do you want to become their slaves all over again?"
