Day 25


MY CHILD,   

The human race longs for permanence, for security, for fulfillment. In vain, you strive for it on this earth. To live successfully, there are some heart attitudes you must have.

First, you must see yourself as an alien, a stranger, an exile on this earth. You must not seek for permanence here. There is no guarantee of it. No guarantee of physical health, financial security, a permanent place. All these can be snatched from you in a moment.

You must see yourself as a traveler. "This world is not your home, you are just passing through." You must see yourself not as a tourist traveler, but as a business traveler. You are here for a purpose.

Secondly, you must have hope. That is, the firm outlook about something happening in the future. He must have the strong assurance that your journey is taking you to a city, a country, a utopia, containing all you long for in your heart. I am building, and have prepared such a place, such a city -- heaven, for you. Without hope, your journey here will lack purpose, motivation, and meaning.

Put these two thoughts together. You're a traveler knowing your journey will end in the heavenly city and what you do here will have much to do with the quality of your future. This will make you a business traveler as you think and live in the present. You will be acting like a businessman on a journey. Working hard, but with home in mind, and the fact you are going there. What the business traveler does on his journey affects the quality of life at home.

I have prepared a city for you. Live in this hope as you journey here.
